  1. hi guys i am new to this forum, but it has gotten me pretty far with my dvd burning but i am now having a problem that a lot of other people face:
Problem with the Audio/Video staying Sync'd!! So here is what i do to encode/burn. I use Xilisoft to encode to .vob, then i use TMPGEnc Author/Write. I go straight to .vob with xilisoft cause it only takes about 2 hours (instead of about 10-14 with TMPGenc encoder-which is BS) The video looks great but as you can guess about 1/4 -1/2 way through the movie it starts de-syncing (audio comes about 1 to 2 seconds before video) so here is the question. Are there any tools out there to fix this in .vob form? Can i author it to the Video TS and Audio TS folders and then fix the De Sync prob there?? I have GoldWave, and Virtualdub but i dont know how to use them! All i know is the files have to be in mpg-2 form, but whenever i try to put files in that form with Xilisoft it fails!! I am so confused. But i love this website! it has gotten me very far, and i am so close to cracking this.

PS can i just add about 10 hrz to the audio sampling rate in Xilisoft before i encode to .vob? i saw an article about how it is your soundcard or something screwing it up. thanks so much!

    Hi CMD27,

    Welcome the the forums...

It could be a problem with your source files. You don't say what they are (AVIs?) Use AVICodec or GSpot to get details and post here...

Also, see if you can use VirtualDub to scan for bad frames. If you find any, remove them and re-encode.

Fixing audio synch in the VOBs? Unlikely as far as I know...
There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.
