Windows Encoder produces blue image

I am trying to convert a mpeg2 video I made and I have tried to use Windows movie maker and windows encoder. Both produce a blue image of the video. I don't know how else to explain it. You can see the images but they are all blue in color.

what mpeg codec do you have installed ? try another one ...

I am working with Studio 9 and I believe it puts in its own. I don't really want to mess with its codec because everytime I do it stops working. I just recently reinstalled this machine, running windows XP pro SP2. Never had problems like this before

actually looking at the codecs installed I see mpeg2 as being intervidoe (windvd). Here are my installed codecs as according to gspot. I only see mpeg2 from intervideo. Is there another recommended mpeg2 codec I should try? If so, how do I uninstall the intervideo codec?

Turns out it was a windows media problem. Installed version 10 and now everything works fine. Bashing a program really doesn't help people. I have very little problems with studio 9. The only time I have had problems may have been caused by freeware. A reinstall of studio has always fixed the problem. So, when you ask, "Studio 9, need I say more?", yes you do, at least if you are trying to help. Thasnks for replying though.
