Screen Cap for DVD

ImageGrab does it for VCD and SVCD, but is there a similar program for DVD MPEG2?

I know that PowerDVD can take screen caps, but as far as I can tell, I can't get a specific frame with this (unless someone knows better ).

EDIT........... They are not full screen in size.
EDIT 2........ Can't save to a file
EDIT 3........ You can advance each frame
in PowerDVD by hitting next step!!! Yippeeee! :P

WinDVD takes screen shots - but I don't know about specific frames.

I understood that hitting next step would move you to the next chapter - but I will see if that works if the pause is on.

I use a Canopus ADVC-50 and have not yet managed to get VirtualDub to open any of my AVI files recorded with this (even by downloading the codecs). I may give this a go with the encoded DVD MPEG and report back.

You can definitely just open the vobs straight off of DVD with virtualdubmod, although it's faster if you have ripped the dvd to your harddrive.

It is a DVD-R that I have created, that I am after getting a screen cap from, if it makes any difference.
