I'm going to order some media in the next day or two- wanted opinions from the GURU's here.![]()
They are close to the same price on all the major sites (give or take $5). So which would be a better choice? Prodisc 8x hub printable's or Ritek g05 8x hub printables?
I'm using a Liteon 812S flashed to CG3E (832s) firmware.
my son's have BTC 1108IM's 8x recorders (2 of them) each has the latest B130 firmware. And my HTPC has a BTC1008 (emprex branded) 4x recorder.
I planned on buying -R's... Or should I get the +R's?
Someone here said the LiteOn performs better with +R media, but I seem to remember reading +R's are much less compatible for video playback in stand alone players? Also, I never heard which of media (-/+) works better in either of the BTC drives?
I value ALL of your opinions, and I will read them if your kind enough to post them . THANK YOU.![]()

RUN from Prodisc. Look at all the links for problems with F01 media codes. G05s are consistent quality for the price.

I don't know if G05s are OK with the 812S as I only burn them on my 3500. If you want to check it out before you buy send Rima.com an email as they often will send a sample before you buy.Still a few bugs in the system... -

Fandim: have you ever burned a G05 on your 832 or just your 3500? If so, how did the scan look?
lordsmurf: You are following me around, aren't you. Beat you to this one though.

Chas0039, I'll do a test burn on the G05's and Liteon 832 for you, and post the results in the forum.

Toaster: Sorry for prior advice. It looks like G05s don't like the Liteon either. I guess you should check in CDFreaks media section for another choice. Sometimes Ritek +R 8X are Ricoh which are pretty good. Othertimes they are R03s which are OK if burned at 4X. Good luck.

Go with the Riteks right now. I've just returned my 3rd batch of Prodisc F01s and they have all been bad. So save yourself the hassle & $$ and go with Ritek till Prodisc gets its act together.....
