  1. Hey there...

Has anyone else noticed how much more difficult it is now to find DVD+R Inkjet Printable Media? Seems easy to find TY's, Verbatim, etc... -R's, but the +R's are almost becoming extinct. (Inkjet Printable)

I still use +R for data, but it's becoming more and more difficult to find any deals where you find +R and "Inkjet Printable" in the same sentence. (I have found some RiTek and Prodisc and other lower quality brands, but not TY's or Maxell (MIJ's).

Is it just me? (and yes, I understand the demand is likely higher for the -R's due to the increased compatibility with movies and players, minus the booktype setting adjustment).

    thoughts?

  2. I use meritline.com - they usually seem to offer a reasonable selection of +R inkjet printable media.
Costco always carried TDK, but the last coupon offering of theirs was not inkjet printable - so I ordered from Meritline instead.

I actually spent about 4 hours yesterday at various sites... rima, supermediastore, cddvdrmedia, meritline, etc...you name it and could not find any (what I'd consider) hi quality dvd+r inkjet printables. I've had horrible experiences with TDK, so they might've been listed but I didn't take notice. OfficeMax was the most recent with a good deal on Inkjet +R's... Maxell (Made In Japan) for $14/50pk... wish I would've bought more than two.

Btw, I ended up buying Prodisc +R's even though they are lowest quality media I'd buy. I'd prefer TY's or Maxell (MIJ's)... heck if Sony made a +R Inkjet Printable, I'd give that a shot even. (maybe they do, but I haven't seen them)

One request... please don't tell me about Memorex DVD+R Inkjet Printables... the devil lives inside them!

    Thanks for your response!

Those are TY DVD+R inkjet hub printable discs. I don't understand how you said it was difficult to find. IMHO those are high quality DVD+R inkjet printable discs which by the way are "MADE IN JAPAN".

  5. Maybe I should have been more clear...

From my original post.. "but it's becoming more and more difficult to find any deals"...

Meaning, that I can find free shipping and cheaper media from TY on the -R side, but on +R side, I could not. For instance, I found TY-R's for $22 plus free shipping for a 50pk, but the the same site had TY+R's for $29 and no free shipping for a 50pk.

I don't consider .40 cents per disc a good deal (after shipping)... I prefer something closer to .25 cents per disc a good deal. (and this matters when you buy so darn many)

    thanks anyway!

Well, I'm in Hawaii and we don't get cheap shipping so consider yourself lucky to get 50 cents a disc after shipping. :P
