  1. i am currently looking for a good DVD writeer that can burn dvd-r . I got nec 1300 dvd writer but it won't support any of dvd-r. so i need some recommendation from you all.

  3. For DVD-R get a Pioneer 108 or a NEC 3500.
    For DVD+R get a BenQ 1620.

    Pioneer for +R is also great, if not superb.

    I gotta agree with Moviegeek about the BENQ 1620 for DVD+R media. I just got one and the drive blows others away in terms of burn quality. It has automatic bitsetting for DVD+R/RW media. There's no need to use some hacked firmware to attain that capability.
