  1. Hi,

I search the topic in FAQ section. I got the answer as below.
"You burn a DivX as data, and remember that a DivX can not be played by most standalone DVD Players."
What's mean "as data"? Is there a link that explains the burn procedures more detail? My DVD player is Shisonic DVD-100. I checked from DVD players section, https://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers.php?DVDnameid=899&Search=Search&nextcomments=25#comments, the DVD player can play DivX. I like to try burn my DivX movies to DVD or CD and play on my DVD player. Can some one give more detail procedures how to burn the DivX movies? Thanks.

Go into your burning program, and open the template for a new data CD or DVD. Add your file, and burn.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  3. For example: in Nero select DVD ROM (ISO) or CD ROM (ISO).

Also remember that some players will only play DivX files from a CD, and not from a DVD.

  5. And most players play better if the disk is single session and finalized. In Nero that means you should select the "No Multisession" option.

  6. Thanks for these replies. I have one more question. When I burn the movies file to CD as data, do I need to keep the file extension name as .avi? Or, I should change to some thing else? Thanks,

  8. Also, do I need to create some folder on the CD and put the movies to the folder? Or, I just put the movie files to the root folder of the CD?
    Thanks,

    Most players can handle both.

IMO you're making it sound like a Bone Marrow Transplant when it's really just a two-stitch job. Your burning software, new data CD or DVD, and the AVI file as is, burn. That simple. No hidden tricks.
    If in doubt, Google it.
