I am sorry, I missed Scream, as if a horror movie does not have Sigourney Weaver in it, I tend to miss it (Rowr!). What exactly was the effect?
    Hello.

If you are talking about filtering a voice out of audio, changing
it, and putting it back in, Give Up

No, im not talking about filtering the voice from a music cd or something.
I mean just voice, a wav file for example, with my voice recorded. I want to modify it, and make it sound like the voice of a specific person with a sample or his/her voice. ok?

  5. If you want to simply take a wav file of your voice and change the way it sounds, any wav editor can do that. Goldwave is shareware in pretty good.

However, if you want to manipulate it automatically based on another audio sample (someone elses voice), then I have no-idea. In fact I doubt it can be done with everyday sofware.

there is software I've seen that will change pitch (high or low) and formant (the tonal character of the voice), but it's expensive, only for Mac and I don't remember the name off the top of my head.

give me a day or two and I'll find the program name. I'm pretty sure it was a plugin for Digital Performer. most any audio program will allow you to change the pitch of a voice recording, but formant change is something else, and it sounds like that's what you'd need.

as far as taking samples from one person to use as a guide, and making your voice sound like that person, I've never seen it.

They also make telephone devices for women who live alone. It makes their voice sound like a man's voice. They are also not toys by any means and are a bit expensive.
