Alright, I have 27 .avi files and it equals to 2.37 GB each vid is about 20 mins long.. What are my options for making each of these dvd complient and burning to DVD .. how many dvd-rs do you think this will take? Thx -Adam

  2. Realistically I would say 7-8 titles per DVD(video:2000Kbps,audio:192kbps),so you are looking at 4 discs.
I would use TMPGEnc DVD Author, but you might have to convert the audio to WAV first: www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=243709

I prefer not to hazard a guess without knowing the stats of your source files ie. 200okbps might be overkill or not sufficient, depending on the frame size and the bitrate these clips are encoded in. Do they all have the same specs ? If so, what are they ? (Post some screenshots from GSpot)
    If in doubt, Google it.

Based on the info you gave the avi's were probably encoded at just under 600 kbs including the audio. Unless the originals are from a very good source you may not like the results. I agree with MOVIEGEEK, it should take about 4 or 5 discs depending on the final framerate. Whatever mpeg encoder you decide on, test with ReWritable discs if you can.
