Change subtitiles ON A DVD

hi
i have a dvd and when i watch the movie the subtitiles are all wrong. off sync and dont tell the story as its suppose to . i got a srt subtile file for the movie and i was wondering is ther any way i can attach them to my dvd movie.
and remove the old subtitle.

any help would be great thanx

Ps the movie has 2 files AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS in the video there are many VOB, IFO and bup files

Man.. you are talking about alot of work and you dont even know about it.

I hope someone else proves me wrong somehow cause I know I have a complex brain but read doom9.org's guide on DVD Maestro and it will tell you what to do.
