I like a lot that Universal player, though I can't have it to play some mpeg2 files.
I mounted a svcd image on my pc with Alcohol 120% and I copy the main mpeg file and burn it on a dvd (data mode).
When I try to see that mpeg file on the dvp642, I only see a forest of pixels and then the player freezes. If I burn the svcd image on a cd, it will play fine on the philips.
If I open the extracted mpeg on the PC with powerdvd, it would play just fine.
So I am puzzled, why wouldn't the dvp642 accept it ?
Am i extracting the mpeg file the right way ? any tips appreciated.
thank you

i think it needs the audio downsampled to whichever one has the 1s and 4s in it a lot because it doesnt like it upsampled to 48000 unless it's playing from a DVD in the DVD format. I could be wrong. correct me if am.
