  1. In the Region Hack section on this site for this player,
the region can be changed by pressing buttons on the remote. Can RCE (Region Coding Enhancement) discs still be played after the hack is performed?

While there are many movies I would like to watch that are not available in R1, I have some RCE-encoded discs in my collection that I would still like to be able to play.

  2. You can use the hack to set any region, not only region free. Just press the region number instead of the 0

  3. That's not what I was asking. My question was whether I can still play RCE-encoded discs after I perform the region hack by remote. Some players can't play RCE-encoded discs after the player is set to region free.

I will refer you to the following site to what I am talking about:
    http://www.dvdtalk.com/rce.html

Do RCE discs affect only modded players or can it affect players that have been hacked by remote as well?

  7. Ok. Here is my findings:

I set the player to "Region 0/Free" Loaded a RCE disc "Daddy Daycare" All it did was try to load for about 2 mins,I turned the player off then on. still it would not Play , Put in a region 3 DVD Loaded in 2 seconds , Set player Back to "Region 1" Put Daddy Daycare back in Loaded in 2 seconds, put the Region 3 DVD back in while it was still Set to Region 1 , message "Wrong Region"...There you have it............
