I created an image of a CD with ISOBuster. It gave me one bin file and one cue file. I do not have Nero. I burned the bin with B's Recorder Gold and it turned out fine except for one thing.....it is one big long song....no song breaks.
The only way any of my software will copy this CD is with an image file and the only image that has worked so far is this one(the CD is PACKED to the gills - making .wav files takes it WAY over 700mb for some reason)
Do I place both files onto the CD?
I've always used CloneCD for problem discs like this BUT....it also
    failed on this particular CD.
    Any suggestions?

  2. what are you trying to do, copy a Music CD ?

B-Recorder GOld can do straight copys even if you only have one drive just put the cd in you want to copy and select copy CD with B's.

BTW WMP has a plug in that will allow you to burn an audio cd right from the play list.. it will make tracks.. i would do that.. its free

come to think of it.. the newer version of WMP dont even need the plug in.. jsut use copy to cd or device option in WMP and it will convert and burn for you

if you are trying to copy an existing cd (make copy) WMP will do that also... jsut use copy FROM cd if you use wav format it will be lossless.. then when all comied to computer use copy to CD and drag all files to list.. then burn.

sorry for all the ideas.. but your info was a little vauge and not celar what you did and are trying to do..

It's an audio CD. I've been CD-ing for YEARS but this CD is a pain in the ass. It reads 701mb in ISOBuster. Straight copying won't work....converting to .wav won't work. The .bin file burn is complete but....no song breaks.

    I'll look for Alcohol120 now....thanks.
Any more tips...please keep them coming....in case alcohol120 won't work.
P.S. The discs aren't protected...discs 1 and 2 of the set rip and burn perfectly.

id have to see what it was doing.. but if there are no song breaks.. then somehow its removing them.. some software does that but its a setting..using isobuster for this doesnt seem likethe best way to do it.. i only use that to extract the img not make one..

clone cd and a few others are easy and work great.. most have a demo..

that being said.. ive seen programs that have a settign for "removeing silence between tracks" as an option. but any burning software out today should be able to make an image and burn it as one to one.. not sure what isobuster is up too..

CloneCD really IS great...but this CD is just too packed for it to work correctly. If I could slow down either the read or write somehow...it might work.
B's Recorder Gold is alot like Nero as far as burning goes...and it says it can create an image but I've only found it's Rip To .wav function. I can choose my speeds in Recorder Gold.
You say "extract" image in ISOBuster....that is what I did actually. Can ISOBuster create an image?

  10. I think CD Images can be bigger then the actual Size of the CD.

I'd get Demon Tools It's the best for mounting CD Images and after you mount the image you can just copy it. Here a link

So you got a Music CD that you burnt and it is only one track or is it a bunch of tracks with no puases between them ?

  11. Yeah CD IMages can be bigger the 700 MB for sure I just checked a bunch I have on my hard drive and one of them are 740 MB so I wouldn't worry about that.

I burned the bin image(from ISOBuster) with B's Recorder Gold and it turned out fine except for one thing.....it is one big long song....no song breaks....all tracks ran together. I guess the .cue file holds that data.

Anyway....Alcohol120% worked like a charm. I pointed it toward the .cue file and bingo...CD is an exact dupe of the original.

Thanks for all of the help guys.
Now can anyone point me in the direction of "directions" for ISOBuster? Mainly....can ISOBuster create a CD image (like an ISO image) that can be burned with something as simple as DVDDecrypter's image burning process? Or am I asking the impossible? CloneCD is great but sometimes....like this time....NOT.
