I have the Sony DW-U14A with firmware 1.0d. I am burning on Prodisc 4x -R white inkjet printables MCC 01RG20 at 2x with no problems. I am using Nero 6.3.1.120 to burn. I tried a couple at 4x, but the burns failed. (Can't recall the exact errors.) Just wondering if I should update the firmware. If so, which firmware should I go to? Should I flash it to a DRU510A?

Thanks bazooka. I had already checked www.rpc1.org. Everybody on there seemed to have a different opinion as to whether it would work and whether it was worth it if it did work. I was hoping to get some more info here so I could make a better decision. I think I'll just stick to what I have for now. I've been burning at 4x on ProdiscF01's lately with no problems. I might change my mind if I start having problems...
