I have been using a 107 for a while now and it has been great. I do have problems copying on the fly from my Sony CD-Rom. I could buy a 108 for a very reasonable price, If I replaced the Sony with the 108 would I get more reliable on the fly copying and would there be any conflicts between the two units?

No problems. Go for it!
108 is the fastest drive for on-the-fly purposes so far.
Another drive /DVD-ROM/ that is very fast for this is Pioneer SD120 /I got mine from BB/. With RitekG05 I'm able to burn a disc for ~8min.
Enjoy! -
@ fazza8 - When I was in the UK, I used www.blankdiscshop.co.uk - great prices, great customer service.
And I've the 108 here in Oz, top drive...
For a DVD-ROM, check out the Liteon 16x (don't recall the code - drinking whiskey...).There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.
Carpe diem.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room. -
Ta. It's the whiskey... And the sight of BJ_M's baby-sitter...
