  1. How can I configure tmpgenc plus setting?

I think its preset at 2000kbps , cuz I tried to make MPEG2 from FOUR 350avi (series) 1dvd-r but cannot go below 2000kbps I want it atleast at 1500kbps.

    I successfully fitted three 350avi in 1dvd-r @ 2000kbps , but I aiming for 4.

If I cannot configure it, what other alternative solution so I can fit four in 1-dvd-r

    Copy template/extra/unlock.mcf to template folder.
you should now be able to alter presets.

Ok, lets start with those avi's.

What LENGTH in TIME are they?

    What RESOLUTION are they?

What video BITRATE are they, OR, do they look good to your eyes when played in a video window of actual size?

What Audio is used and its bitrate?

    Now for your DVD.

What RESOLUTION do you intend to use? I'm guessing your aiming for VCD res?

    (My guesswork on those 350mb avi's is they have a length of around 45mins each. If so 45 X 4 = 180mins = 3hrs approx).

Post reply and we will see what we can do.

Alll you need to do is get out of the wizard - the wizard won't let you go below 2000kbps, but the "manual" settings window will.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  5. monzie,
    here it goes:
    its 16 episode series 1hr/episode
    video 691kbs, 29.970fps, 640x480,xvid
audio 96kps, 48000hz, mpeg layer3 (both copied from avicodec)

yup, ur right, w/ regard to BITRATE (look good in my eyes ), its not one my fav series anyway (that why im willing to compromise w/ the quality)

Tried what deckard8 said but till no go.

    Ok.

That bitrate is pretty low for GOOD quality Xvid/divx BUT if it looks good to your eyes then that RESOLUTION is the avi equivalent of 704 X 480 (on 720 X 480)...but squeezing 4 hours of video onto a DVDr is a BAD NEWS.....3hrs will just about do it...just (at 3200kbs ave). Why not use half res (352 X 480) at 3200kbs ave on a two pass vbr with a max bitrate (press SETTING) of 5000 and a min of 1500? (page 4/5 of the Wizard in EXPERT to change the bitrates and AUDIO rate).

The audio is also pretty low, so not much point in upping it too far so use say 128kbs.

You could UP the bitrate if you topped and tailed (cut out the opening and end credits) with say VirtualDub frameserver to get a higher bitrate.
