  1. Hi all-please help a newb !!
I have converted a film that was in .dat format to mpeg using TMPGEnc, it seemed to go well, I have now ended up with a 740 meg mpeg file that I want to burn to cdr so I can watch them on my standalone dvd, but the cdr's I have are 700 meg. I have the latest version of Nero, can someone please help me with the next step ?
Have I done something wrong ?

    Cheers

    Nizza.

  2. in tmpge go to file and then mpg tools. use the merge/cut option to split your movie.

  3. Open Nero,
Select either VCD or SVCD (depending on what the mpeg format is for the file you want to burn)
Then it should be simply a case of dragging the file from the source location into the preburn layout window.
    Then click burn.

  4. Cheers for that, does that mean I have to split the film into 4 cd's & what do I do once I have split them to a size that will go onto a cd ?
Do I then use Nero ?

    Thanks for the prompt reply.

  5. Remember 700 Mb is the size for a DATA CD, if you made a VCD then work with the length, 700MB are 80mins, so if your movie is 80 mins it will fit (an 80min cd will take about 802Mb).

Also why did you rencode the DAT, that should already be in MPEG format, if it's not try VCDHear to strip out the non MPEG Stuff. Saves you time and will look better.
