    I want to add black masks to top and bottom of a certain video while converting to avi in Virtual dub (like u can do in tmpGenc to dvd conversion) I looeked at fileters but there is only "fill" option" which does the oppsite of what i wanna do. Is there a way or an extra pluggin i can use to do this

    Sounds like cropping to me? Available using the resize filter. Or use the Logo filter, if you want to mask out just a specific area.
