I have recently bought a Sony DCRTRV330E camcorder with MGI VideoWave III as
a bundled software.
My PC has 400 MHz CPU and has a 10Gb HDD and I installed another 40Gb HDD
lately. The 10Gb HDD has Windows 2000 installed. The RAM is 192Mb. I also
installed a Firewire card and bought a firewire cable to go with it.
However, when I tried to capture video footage from the camera, many frames
were dropping and as a result, the saved AVI file, when run, had a distorted
sequence.
One of my friends has a similar system but with Windows 98 and he can
capture video without dropped frames.
If I install a further 128 or 256 Mb RAM, will it solve the problem ? OR do I need to install Windows 98 ?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
Jude
