Has anyone else had trouble with memorex dvd+r's playing fine for a while ( like 2 or 3 months) and then all the sudden one day they just start getting stuck in the middle of the movie or jumping? I have a HP 200i and used DVDShrink and nero 6 to backup all of my movies and now some of them (not many) are doing this. Any ideas????????

  3. Have you played them with another DVD player/players? Maybe it's your player, not the discs?

What's the media code on those memorex dvd+r discs? If it's CMC then there's your problems cuz those are considered crappy media.

It is likely that you have poorly made media. Memorex is known to use a number of different manufacturers for its discs.

    ***IMPORTANT***
Retail media sold under a Brand Name (e.g. Memorex, Verbatim, Fuji, TDK) is, in most cases, not manufactured by the company.

Examples of Manufacurers: Prodisc, CMC, MCC (Mitsubishi Chemical Corp.), Taiyo Yuden (some of the best media around, look for "Made in Japan" on FujiFilm packages, or visit http://www.rima.com and buy "unbranded" Taiyo Yuden discs).

Some Brand names that do manufacture *some* of their own media: Maxell (look for "Made in Japan" - excellent media - could also turn out to be Taiyo Yuden), TDK ("Made in Japan"), Verbatim ("Made in Singapore" is manufactured by MCC, from other locations, a different manufacturer using MCC technology).

This is just a small list, but I hope it helps.
