  1. hi

is there a way to add chapters to an avi file...
and is there a tool to make menus.. like them in a dvd,
but instead of a vob file or a mpeg file i want to link the menu to a avi file.
my dvd player can handle avi files.

    Hello,

    I don't think so.....

I remember reading earlier that you can't make a menu for divx files for a standalone divx player. My assumption would be that you can't do it for chapters either (though I could be wrong). But I'd say it's a no go for menus....

There sre some divx autorun tools in the sites tools section that allow you to create simple menus but not quite the same as on a DVD. Oh, they are PC only solutions, Nod standalone divx players.

  4. I think you would need to create an OGM or Matroska file to get chapters, and a MP4 file if you want menus.
    But only readable on computer.
