Hi!
I have an AVI with low quality MP3 audio and I like to convert it to MPG2 to do a DVD how can I improve the bitrate? I mean change the kbps froma low number to 224 that is more less the standard?

You can increase the bitrate of an MP3, but it won't improve the quality. There are some apps out there that can apply some filters, but the improvement is marginal at best. A good rule of thumb to follow is "garbage in = garbage out".

You can find a few guides in there that will help you to convert your AVI to DVD.

You cannot improve the quality of either your video or your audio. Compression of both audio and video works by cutting out information so that it takes up less space. It is impossible to recover the lost data. Increasing the bitrate will simply give you a larger file that sounds exactly the same.

I have tried to see the guides but I havent seen a sw for change bitrate if I have an audio with bitrate for example 192 kbps and I try to do a DVD I cant hear the audio on result file, I must have at least 224 Kbps to work right.. so how can do it?

Baldrick I convert from MP3 to WAV, do you mean that if I leave the audio to the original Kbps the result is ggod the same, I must convert only to 48000Hz and stop?
To calucalte video bitrate I must use the audio bitrate of the original file?

Then use basic Nero Wave Editor to improve sound quality. There are a lot of useful features for editing and audio quality enhancement.
