  1. I have a medium sized DivX file of ~400mb, it is encoded in DivX 5.0 format.

When I try to play it using WMP it just gives me a black screen where the movie should be playing, however it is playing as the seek bar is moving along the bottom.

I opened it with g-spot and it told me that the file was working OK, however all but 3Mb of it is neither marked as 'data' nor as 'junk'.

I have never encountered this problem before and i am unsure of what to do, so please help me fix the file!

  5. no I havnt, I will try it now

    Update: 20:27 GMT

That didnt work (all it does is cut down the useless data and gave me a small 7mb AVI file), the problem is obviously that the unmarked data is not recognised as video data... is there anyway to change that
