  1. i have a divx movie that plays fine, but its too big for CD

    i used virtualdub to cut out a small part

    the new file won't play correctly, it pauses every few seconds

    anyone know whats wrong?

  2. VirtualDub can do basic cutting/pasting/etc with AVI files.

    Standard, uncompressed AVI files.

    DiVX files may have an ".AVI" extension, but it is a *compressed* format. IMHO that is why what you did doesn't work correctly.

    Avichop should work better, i tried it with divx and it did well.
