Im using Ulead VideoStudio to capturen/editten etc.
To fit more on a DVD I captured at half resolution (352x576). After burning the DVD gives a small screen. What should I do to get full size at playback? And is that possible with Ulead?

Not all players recognise or play back half-D1 properly. My old one whould play it back, but started and ended with a smaller view. There may be nothing you can do other than a. Live with it, or B. burn at full D1

I thought half-D1 was a DVD standard??? Are you saying it's not 100% compliable?

Just curious, because that's the first I've heard of that around here!

It is dvd compliant and the reason its being played back at a smaller size is due to how its being encoded.

I capture and author all the time with 352x480 ntcs using Ulead and they all play full screen on tv.

Is there a internal setting on your dvd player???

If you are on pc, then check setting also

Uhm...I tried the options 4:3, pan scan, 16:9 etc on DVD player but nothing helps. I have a Philips 640 standalone player.

Oops ...now I have to say... I capture in Videostudio, but I make chapters in TMPGenc Author. And with TMPGenc I make the DVD files too.
