Hi,
Hope somebody who has one of these units in front of them will know the answer to this question.
I live in Australia ( 220 - 240 Electricity ). If I purchase a Canopus ADVC300 from the US or anywhere else that's 110 voltage. Is the power supply switchable, like most modern laptop's are, so I can use it on Australian mains power with an adapter plug, no doubt
Would it also be easy to switch a US model over to PAL as default ?
If I buy from Overseas, I'll save a heap of money compared to buying locally.
Thanks

Why is an intelligent man's vote, worth the same as an idiot's vote in a democratic election system.

It uses an AC adapter so you should be able to buy one locally that outputs the correct voltage and current using Australia mains power
I don't own one, but a quick visit to the US Canopus site answered the question.
Nice unit, BTW. I've always been a fan of Canopus products.

The 110 requires no power supply at all providing it's hooked to a computer.

I have had good luck with power converters 110 -> 220. Just make sure it is specially designed for electronix equipment (e wary if the maximum wattage it can handle is much over 50!).
The ADVC300 can switch between NTSC and PAL happily.
