I have an idea

We should make a movie.
We should come up with a story, maybe rip off a film, Star Wars, whatever, and pick a reasonably long scene.
Then, we should each film ourselves acting out that scene, and upload to some kind person who would edit it together (simply a join, nothing fancy).
It may mean a media/postage cost as I guess this stuff would be quite long once completed so probably best on DVDr (and oh, shit, we then have the 25fps vs 29.97fps issue!) but would be one hell of a great movie and a real tribute to the community here at videohelp.com

In fact, we don't even have to rip off a movie (I can see a yellow card coming, breach of copyright ) we don't even need a plot, just a dialogue where capmaster can be talking to adam, cobra can be talking to offline, I can be talking to virtualis etc.
I guess some wouldn't be keen as they may want to maintain there anonymity on the web but providing we can all garee on the format so I don't have to do tonnes of conversions etc and can simply string togethr (I don't mind encoding to NTSC and PAL) the footage then that's cool.

If you wanna appear in it you'll need to cover my costs, but rest assured they'll be absolutly no profit made whatsoever, and I'm not really keen to give all and sundry my home address so we'll have to determine how we transfer the footage to me.
Maybe I do it for the Brits and someone else does it for the yanks

I'm sure one of us could open a X-drive account or something and use it kind of a warehouse, we upload, you download and delete. Then when you are finished editing. You could just upload the ISOs but that would require someone to loan 8 GB of space for a period.

The plot:

Will Hay, on his way to VCD Cleaners to do some laundry is kidnapped by KVCD extremists. They hold him ransom until everyone agrees with them that KVCD is not just a form of (X)VCD, but a stand alone format. The government and the Hay family refuse their demands and call upon the PWB (Post Whore Brigade) to rescue him. Will they make it to him in time, will Will be brainwashed by their tutorials and examples? Turn in to find out.

Additional plot material:

While Will is being held by the radical fundamentalist KVCD fanatics, Naked Geek cracks under the pressure and decides to try to procure a nuclear weapon on the black market and nuke Sweden, hence destroying Videohelp.com and all its members.

He thinks that we all actually live in the board. Despite technical proof that humans cannot actually live in a board (except Gitreel and Teegee, of course), he chooses to ignore the facts and insists he can kill us that way.

In the course of sending threatening letters to Indolikaa, he discovers that Indolikaa and Capmaster actually own nuclear weapons already and most likely if he buys them on the black market, they'll be coming from Indo's and Cap's private "rainy day" stash. Not wanting to see his DVD factory in Assrash, Nigeria nuked by a crazed redneck and a vinyl goat-****** with the power of the sun at their disposal, Naked Geek commits himself to learning Onani, or "wanking your way to weight loss", but becomes compulsive, and ends up the only person to ever die from jerkin the gherkin.

Fade back to the Will Hay hostage situation ..............

I think he might have actually overdosed on this board and is in a behavior modification treatment center somewhere among lots of trees and babbling brooks, letting his nerves mend. Nobody could have kept up that insanely high post rate for much longer. My post rate is unreal, but for the month of May he was like the cybernetic post whore who didn't sleep. I hope he is OK. Has anyone heard from him yet? I sent him a PM already, with no response.

I've got a web server... we could make it it a windows media format and post it on the web... I think that may resolve the FPS issue and size / postage constraints.

We would want to make the MPEG's very low res.... so converted wmv files would play back ok on dial up.
