    Hi,

I guess this is an experiment really, which I messed around with a while back and now want to play with again.

I've extracted the movie streams from Schindler's List which is a movie split onto 2 DVDs using VobEdit, resulting in 6 files; the 2 MPEG2 movie streams, the 2 AC3 audio, and the 2 subtitle SUP files.

Is it possible to join the video files together, the audio files together, and the subtitle files together, resulting in one file of the complete MPEG2, AC3, and SUP? Then I can re-mux these files using IfoEdit or suchlike.

    Any advise would be welcome.

    Many thanks.

Just use DVDShrink in Re-author mode and compile both discs...And I would recommend setting output size to DVD-9 8.5GB and burning to DL disc ...

I don't care to look, but I think http://www.doom9.net might have a guide on doing this. It is possible, but it's a fairly complex operation. I know I've seen a guide on this before, but I've never done it.

I used this method once for backing up my Gangs of New York 2-disc set..And yes it worked, but a bit tedious..

Much easier with DVDFab Platinum to merge both...
