Strange Problem with Teac DVD+R

My DVD has no problem playing Movies until I make a back-up copy. On about 10% of the movies I back-up my DVD+R will show as a CD Drive when I put the back-up in. It will not play that DVD at that point. The same DVD will play in my Mitsubishi DVD player connected to my TV. The original DVD will play fine.

I use DVD Shrink 3.2 and DVD Decrypter.
My DVD player is:
TEAC DVD+RW DV-W58E.
There are no updates available for the drive.

Anyone know what may be the problem?

You're confusing me. When you say DVD, do you mean a standalone DVD Player, a DVD burner, a DVD ROM drive, the DVD disc, or all four?

My Teac Internal PC DVD+RW has no problem playing movies until I make a back-up copy. On about 10% of the movies I back-up on my Teac DVD+RW will show as a CD Drive when I put the DVD back-up in the tray. It will not play that DVD at that point. The same movie DVD will play in my Mitsubishi DVD (stand alone player connected to my TV). The original DVD movie will play fine in my Teac Internal PC DVD+RW.
