The film machine, problems

Im burning avi to dvds using the film machine with cinema craft encoder. The sound is playing ok but there is no picture, just a black screen with red lines at the bottom.

Ive also tried burning the dvd with a crack version of cinema craft encoder but the same thing happens.

Can anyone help please?

Your problem is with the settings for MPEG2DEC2.DLL or MPEG2DEC3.DLL. Configure CCE to point to the right path for these codecs.

The configuration may have to be done within Film Machine. I had similar problems with DVD2SVCD.

Im not to knowledgable on codecs, could u give me some advice on where these might be and some general advice on codecs if poss

I can't give you any meaningful answers because I don't use The Film Machine. I use DVD2SVCD. Look to the left under Tools and download a copy. It will install all the needed tools including the codec. You can set DVD2SVCD to use CCE as the encoder.

This should take care of your problem with the black screen with orange squiggles on the bottom.
