    Hello,

    Try these videobitrate calculators:

    https://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=1#1

Those may help with deciding bitrate. Try 3000 for long play recording.

As far as audio both mpeg audio and dolby digital are compressed. I don't believe one is better than the other. Use Dolby Digital 2.0 for increased compatibility (I have yet to have a problem with mpeg audio from my wintv pvr250 but stick with what works for you).

You can always capture at a higher quality level, author it, then shrink the folder. You'll still lose a little quality in the compression but you'd start out at a higher quality.

You can also use half d1 resolution NTSC 352x480.

    Good luck.
