My other post above/below explains the problem I'm having in more detail:
I downloaded the test files for SVCD from here and burnt them without problem.
When I play them in my DVD player I get the same problem as before.
The disc will not play and makes a strange whirring nooise until I press stop.
I have now tried the player with an svcd film and now the test file both with no luck. Should this test run on all svcd capable players? If I could be doing anything wrong then please offer suggestions
It plays all my vcds with no problem, just not my svcds?
It is definitely svcd compatible as it says on the player/manual and also plays mp3 etc...
Can anyone help me? I need to know soon because I'll return it for a philips 612 if I can't get it working...
