  1. I have two svcd or vcd disks with two different parts of a movie. What I want to do is join these into one compliant DVD. I copied the mpeg only from each cd into the hard drive , and was able to view and hear these two files correctly. I then tried to join these with several programs:

    EASY VIDEO JOINER
    ACE MEDIA WORKSHOP
    TMPGE

Some will not join the two into one, the others join but the parts of the final mpeg are cut off...just the end portion. Is there an easy to use , do it all for a newbie to join these into one large complete mpeg file? Guide?

You don't have to join them before authoring. Prepare them (if they're not already) one by one to DVD specs, then author them as 2 parts of the same title using TMPGEnc DVD Author. They will be played back seamlessly. Only sign of the sources not being one contigous file is a chapter point at the "join".

I have had this problem when joining 2 files in TMPGEnc DVD Author, a slight pause where they were joined, if you move the chapter mark even one frame off from where they were joined and edited together the pause is no longer there.
