like the link i posted said, "they [the pictures] convey a false impression of Heather's true height because she is paired with people who are shorter than average".. its basically trick photography.. although the photo might be real, what is being depicted isnt.

Those 2 pictures are FAKE.

First picture, the her shadow is too small relative to her "size." Just look at Dolly Parton's shadow. That will give you some idea.

Second picture, if that chap that she was talking to is Frodo Baggins of Hobbits, then it's real.

Shadow would be relative to the position of the sun, the size in that first pic looks proportionate to the others.

I fail to see why someone would think they were not real to tell you the truth. If the height mentioned above is correct with those heels that have to be at least 7 or 8 inches it would put her at or above the 7 ft. range. Throw in a couple of short people (with No shoes standing on a carpet) and voilà instant giant.

Finally, someone who is reading what is there and not over-analyze what he see..
All I asked was if the pic is real or not. Such a simple question. :P
I didn't say anything about Holland, or 7 foot woman. Sheese.. try to read what is there and not what you think is between the line ('cause sometime, there nothing between the line )

OK, I said that I called bullshot when I first had this e-mailed to me. My reasoning, while not kind, is that I seem to think that most, if not all, people with giantism tend to have deformities that she does not appear to have. (large brow, teeth and jaw shapes, posture problems and so on) While it could be trick photography with posing and lens only. I still kind of doubt it. The first shot with the gals walking side by side has some strange artifacts along the tall gals left side. A halo along her left leg, jagged shadow lines and questionable light on her left thigh.

The second shot, assuming that the average door or cased opening is 6'-8" looks like she would be way over the claimed height if she stood up. The water cooler should be 4' to 5' and is right at her best half way point. That could put her at 8' to 10'. and the curved air brush looking smudge that is between her and the little guy is suspicious to me.

Now when asked if this is real or fake it wasn't stated "just the photos" And being I had already seen the whole e-mail, I assumed the hole E-mail was the topic. And after reading the background and looking closer at the photos I still say Bullshit! (but hey, I have been wrong before, no biggie)

My 2 cents: The top one is real. I can tell by the shadows on the pavement. Same angle, same color, same direction, and don't look doctored at all. Plus the smaller woman looks in proportion to the background cars.
The bottom one is fake. It looks to me like the picture of her might have started out real, but only she has been enlarged by 10-20%. Notice she's looking above his eyes and he's looking at her shoulders where they may have looked eye to eye to start with. Also, there is more picture noise around her body than his. And the edge on the back of her calf looks jagged like it's been enlarged. Oh yeah, and if she stood up, she wouldn't be able to get through the 7 foot door.

This what I'm going to say on this:

The thing behind her I'm assuming is an SVU. The problem is that it seems to disappear. Where is it?

There is a black halo around her right shoulder. Either she has black tips (is that the right way to say it women?) or that is some nasty masking.

How many wheels does that SVU have? I see what looks to be two tiny hub caps.

There is some haloing on her left arm. Not natural at all.

Shadows that run perfectly vertical to the image plane like that in an image are not natural.

And finally, I don't know what that is on the bottom that is casting that shadow but it sure as hell does not look natural either (see sentence above about vertical shadows cut off).

It's probably safe to say the images have been exagerrated by shotty enlarging for the amazon only.

But they are still small people.

For the record, "halo" is an error of JPEG. That one is pushing it. You have strays from image overlap.

Compare the relative size of the car behind her right arm to her left.

The car on her right (our left) is approximately the same size as the car on her left (our right) but if you look at the perspective of the photo, it should be quite a bit farther away.

So either it is a "giant" car, or the photo has been edited.

I can see the seam there. The picture is cut and does not line up exactly.

There's a pretty obvious line there, the shadows aren't aligned, the ground changes colour etc.

It was the first thing i spotted when i got this email last year. maybe even two years ago.

Looking at the big picture, the center (beige) sidewalk is ramped, hence the misaligned shadow. The different colors or sidewalk aren't hidden or anything. It's not out of the ordinary.

I think they're right, the first pic is a fake. I missed it before.

Another one that started out real, hence the shadows at the women's feet are real, but the chic on the left got stretched upwards by a few percent points while her footing position stayed the same. Vitualis was right about the car over her left shoulder, it's too tall. And the shadows along that seam by her right leg don't align right which a ramp would not account for. So I stand corrected.

It would also seem in the first pic, that if the shadow on her leg were accurate, then the shadow of her body would at least partially fall on the smaller girl beside her. It does not, the smaller girls left foot is in the shadow, but unshaded, while her right foot is shaded but in sunlight.

Also behind the big girl, the shadow from the car is to the left and extends out from under the car to the left, while it would appear every where else, the sun's position is in the upper left position casting shadows to the right.
