    I was just looking at MeritLine and Ritek G05 (8x) are cheaper than G04(4x). I have a Sony dru-500a that works very well on the G04's. Can I use the 8x media on my burner (of course at 4x speeds)?

    My DRU500AX spits them out. Not coasters it just refuses to even start writing on them.

    Media isn't 8x, it usually stated as 1xto8x....I never saw one that was just 8x...

    btw, mertiline should say whether they work on your writer.
