  1. I've been rooting around for a fix for this known problem and before I throw this damn thing up on the bay I'll ask...

    I see a LOT of macroblocking in black area scenes. The rest seems fine it's just in the black area. It's just not black through component 1080i.

    @ 480P through component there are these hays lines.

    @ 480P through s-video is ok but I bought it for the 1080i.


    Any fix for the macro in the black areas?

    I returned the LG version of that player. My probm's were with the 1080i upconversion and the the green color shift via component. Bought it to use with my Sony 53HS30 (no DVI/HDMI). The 1080i just wasnt correct. The people just look chubby compared to the 480p and 720p. The green shift was very noticable also on all the upscaled images. Didnt want to frig around with my TV's calibration just to get the player working since all my other DVD players are dead on and only the LG/Zenith was giving me probm's. Waiting on a Denon 2910. 8)
