    I´m having compatibility problems betewen dvd rw sony dru-500a and dvd -r ritec media. Can someone help me?[/img]

    Its sad but true. Sony Burners suck. I have one myself(510 UL) and it is very picky. I only use Sony DVD-R or Fuji DVD-R. With the other media, it is sheer luck.

    bappida69 is right about sony burners. i myself also have a sony dru-500a burner. i am only able to achieve 2x max burn on ritek G04 4x discs.

    I have never have attained a 4x burn on riteks. sony does suck and is very picky about media.

    it takes a miracle to get a 4x burn on a sony.

    One thing for DEFINITE is that when i upgrade my dvd burner to dual layer, it aint gonna be a sony.

    i have managed to get 4x burn on the memorex dvd-r and tdk dvd+r so far with a bit of luck. :P
