Memorex 8X +R Problem With Shrink

I was wondering if any of you know what my problem could be. I have a Pioneer DVR-107 writer. When I use DVD Shrink (and Nero) to backup a movie using Memorex 8X +R disks I get a burn error. Any other media I have never had a problem with, but this is also my first time using +R's. I have always used -R's. I got a good deal on these, that's why I bought them. Anyway, when I use tmpgenc and tmpgenc Author to burn home movies, I have no problem using these disks, so I know it's not the drive or Nero. Could Shrink possibly be the problem? I tried this with 2 different Disney movies with the same problem. When I used 4X Imation, I had no problem.

If the memorex 8x dvd+r media code is CMC then that's the problem. CMC is crappy media. I'd suggest you use another brand. Imation dvd+r are RICOH discs. The problem isn't DVD SHRINK. Use better dvd+r media.

How do you find out what the code is on the disc?

I agree dvd burners are getting blame when in fact it's crappy media. DVDDecrypter shows the code ...for example TDK is something like RICOHJPN blah blah blah. DVDRINFO I think is the name of another one ..can't really remember the name.

So what are some good brands without knowing the code on the disc. I downloaded dvdinfo and I have 8X Memorex+R 2X Verbatim-R and 4X Imation -R and they are all showing CMC media. I would like to use some good -R 8X media, any suggestions?
