  1. I'm trying to author a DVD but need to change the framerate from NTSC film to just NTSC and was wondering if there is a simple way to do it. I've checked some of the guides but am getting confused. Can anyone help? I'm using TMPEG to do the encoding work. Thanks.

Why not just select the new template for you and encode a short sample to see if that works.
    Hello.

  3. Two reasons TK. I think that would cause loss of image quality if I am re-encoding the mpeg plus I've got about 100 VCDs and don't want to spend the time to re-encode them all.

In TMPGenc, load the NTSC DVD template. Go to the advanced tab and enable the 3:2 pulldown filter. This will set TMPGEnc to perform a telecine to 29.97fps.

  6. John,
I need to convert it or TMPEG DVD Author won't accept it.

    Adam,
I tried it but the re-encoded file looks awful. Thanks for the suggestion though.
