They sure got a lot of good reviews at NewEgg. The DVD media list here has "Legacy" under several different media codes. Someone mentioned it is 'SONY 04D1' on NewEgg. They are about the price of Prodiscs. I say go for it if you are feeling adventurous but remember NewEgg's "This item may only be returned for a replacement of the same make/model." policy versus SuperMediaStore's more flexible policies on their Prodisc and Linkyo media.

Good luck and make sure to post your results.

Legacy DvD-R . I took a chance, here are my results.

Out of a 50 pack, all burned perfect. The media ID is GSC002 , what ever that heck that is.

The only problem I seen was that while burning, which I burn at 4x speeds that it somes flops around on my roxio software show that it burns sometimes at 1x-4x. But it would eventually turn back to 4x speeds. so the speed Fluctuates upon each disk. But all do burn successfull.

I am a true G04 Ritek fan, and Legacy dvd-R seems to do the job. Out of my 50 disks, I already burned about 15 and none of them failed. Hope this helps.

I burnt about 40 of 50 at $19.99 and had good success. All burned at 4x.

I bought the 8x +R set and they turned out to be Prodisc R03. Funny thing was that i just got a pack of pro disc in the day before. They were exact in looks and media code.

I did a RPM test on my disks w/ dvdinfopro and while doing the rpm, they all tested up to speeds of 7.2x
Since my roxio software only burns at 4x, maybe it might be buring at closer to 8x? My burner is a NEC 2510a 8x burner
