OK, first of all can I say how I love this program. I use all the time to put TV shows from the US on to DVD, while waiting for them to arrive in the UK.
Anyway the only problem I have is occasionaly a VTS will loop the first second forever (so it looks like it has frozen). To remedy this problem I have to chapter forward on my dvd player and then rewind to just before the first second! This happens on all DVD players I have tried.
I think this may be something to do with mpegs that have previously been made into a svcd disk (i.e. using nero). If the file is then taken from the AV001.dat (or whatever it is) they seem to have this problem!
It's only a minor problem but if it were fixed SVCD2DVD would be perfect for me. Any suggestions?
thanks

I also experience the ocdasional movie that seems to freeze in the beginning.. I usually can just hit the fast forward button for a few seconds and it will play ok from there. My problems are not related to Nero. It happens about 20 percent of the time with mpeg 1 VCD and mpeg 2 SVCD files. Funny thing is these files will not freeze up when I play the DVD from my HD using Powerdvd software using the "play dvd from folder setting". This problem has occured in all players I have used including an initial portable, Pioneer 270, and Apex 1100w.
The only thing that I am guessing could be the source of the trouble is that I am running svcd2dvd on a windows 98se box. And I am sure that most of the coding for this program is optimized for w2k or XP. Chrissy could probably clarify this. I just don't have time to install XP and the 100 apps that I use. My question to SavageDonkey is if you are also using windows 98se. If so, this may help verify the source of trouble. Another reason I am to believe that 98se could give trouble is that when I used the trial version, I did not get the 30 second clip at the end and on one of my movies it cut off the last 2 minutes. It obviously did not behave like the trial version was supposted to and I am thinking that the OS may have something to do with that as well. There is another thread in here somewhere where somebody had this issue. I cannot find it. But it seems to be a bug that effects a minority of users. I would be interested in finding the source or a workaround or possible fix in future releases. Hopefully Chrissy may have some input or look into this. -
