    Hello all,
I'm sure I'm not the first person to do this but I could find any guides and did a mild search for an answer. Here is my delimma.

I received an audience video recording of a Pearl Jam concert on DVD. The video is decent but the audio has an excessive about of tape hiss. I would like to extract the audio, clean it up, and re insert it into DVD.

I found this link for extracting audio from a DVD.

    http://www.mp3-guides.com/guides.php?name=dvdtoaudio

It worked great. Now I have a cleaned up .WAV.

How do I go about inserting this new audio in place of the old audio?

    Thanks,
    Mike

Demux old video from old audio (found in the original VOBs), resulting in a m2v file. I'd use ReJig for this.
Encode fixed wav to AC3 with ffmpeggui (note: Some compatibility problems with Pioneer players might exist) or MP2 with tooLame
Author to DVD with whatever (TMPGENC DVD Autor, IfoEdit, DVDAuthor...)

    /Mats,
Thanks for the reply. I will give it a try. Quick question. Do I have to join the audio & video before I insert it in my DVD authoring software?

    Thanks,
    mako

No, that's done during the authoring stage.
