    Try TheFilmMachine. It's an easy way for DVD conversion. Works best for Xvid and most DIVX.

    The next method is TMPGEnc encoder. A little more complicated, but better results.

    TMPGEnc, Quenc, CCE .....

    Anything that can encode MPEG in the tools section ...

    There are plenty of guides here or you could try this guide.
