I have a sports video file that is in .mp4 format and i want to capture a highlight of it to send to a friend. I need a tool like virtualdub but compatible with .mp4 video files.

Thank you for making me aware of Avidemux.
I've been using it for a while now, since you suggested it, but I'm starting to tire of the audio cutting out, half way through, every time I make a highlight.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong. The video's source is h.264 and the audio is mp4a. I'm saving the highlight as .x264(video) and lame (audio)
