Had using TMPGEnc XPress for a month, and wonder should I go back to TMPGEnc Plus.
Generally speaking, TMPGEnc XPress do have a better GUI, but other than that, nothing else.
But XPress don't provide "instant preview" on filtering. Althought it provide more filter but without "instant preview" they're difficult to use.
Any more comments?

Xpress does have an "instant preview". It's not on the "Filter" page though. Go to the "Encode" page and use the "Output Preview" button.

Tmpgenc XPress appears to provide all the functionality of TMPGEnc PLUS, hidden behing a wizzard like interface.
I agree that to a newbie, the Tmpgenc controls may be too complicated but once you have mastered them, the xpress interface appears (to me at least) as a blocker of functionality.
In terms of speed and quality, can't see any difference between the two. So, I still use the good old-fashioned PLUS version. The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know. -

Well, may be a little less out-of-sync than using Plus as far as I can hear, but the problem still there.
Unless they improve XPress very much, I agree PLUS is better for the job. -
There's also Xpress's insistence on "phoning home" to Pegasus every once in a while (and you can't disable it, at least not using legal means [and no, I don't know of any illegal ones, so please don't ask
]). That reason alone was enough to convince me to stick with Plus, though now that I read more about the wizard-style interface and other issues, I'm more convinced than ever that I made the right decision. Why fix what ain't broke?

Xpress unfortunatelly is the future of TMPGenc.
TMPGEnc plus is the past and the present...
At this point, you can do the same, if not more, with TMPGenc plus, slighty slower.La Linea by Osvaldo Cavandoli

Nor does Xpress have the MPEG Tools functions (merge/cut/[de]multiplex) that are present in the 2.5.x Plus version..
I guess it was taken out in preparation for cramming another $40+ "upgrade" down unsuspecting peoples HD's for that new MPEG edit program.
