321 Studios just completely shut down. But I have some of their software on one of my machines that I have been readily using and have had very few problems with. I wanted to know what forum I should start a topic to help people with this software. It's really not hard to figure out, but can be confusing for some noobs.

It's the DVDXTREME suite, which has a load of different softwares in it. Here's most of what is contained in it.

    DVDXCOPY Express RF
    DXDXMAKER
    CD Rescue
    Label Express
    DVDXSHOW
    DVDXPOINT

Now it deals with authoring, DVD-DVDR, Label Making, etc. and I wasn't sure which forum I should post the topic so people can find out more on how to use it as no major manual was created and when 321Studios went belly-up, their support line went too. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there much point? if the co is gone under there won't be any updates. your time would be better spent writing up guides on current software that has a future.

It hasn't really gone under. They made plenty of money, but the Federal Courts are saying what they are doing is illegal. When the details were brought out, it was foudn out that what they were doing was in fact legal, but obviously Hollywood says that it will hurt the economy if it is allowed. thus brings the reference to this thread.

The reason why I want to work on the help section for this software, is because it may become more freely distributed now that the company has been halted due to the courts. In fact there was mention of the authors making Freeware versions that aren't trials. Just limited read & burn speeds along with limited tool availability. If this happens, anybody can distribute the software - under the table. As long as you make back-ups for yourself, nobody can come after you. If you try and sell it would be the only reason for Hollywood to take you to court, and unless you're doing it in the wide open and often, it'll be hard enough for them to catch anyone anyway.
