I have some quicktime movies I want to post on a website. To big, about 150 meg for only a few minutes. The original is:
720x480 @ 29.94 data rate is 1.0 MB/sec
The sound is 44100hz 16 bits.
I tried using Quicktime Pro with these settings:
Video:
Motion JPEG A
Depth Color
Quality High
Frame rate 29.97
Field count 1
Optimize for streaming
Sound:
44.1 khz
Sample size 16
Channels 2
But the file came out 4 times bigger than the original any advice would be appreciated, Wayne.

If the Thunder don't get you,
the Lighting will. -
SV3 is a good web codec just lower the resolution and frame rate (if you require much smaller sizes) and choose your bitrate based on what you want the final size to be.
