I recently was fired from Technicolor - Hollywood after 11 yrs of service. I played a personal DVD for a friend on a company computer that evidently had a "high security " title on it.

Before I knew what happened - the vice president was up my ass with a pink slip.

The studios are coming down hard on all thier vendors because of internet piracy. They say thier losing 10 billion a year! I was made an example.

Wow. I didn't even know Technicolor existed anymore. I can see why you hate your job. You have to sit their all day coloring in each frame by hand.

LOL...its not that bad...they're, by far, the largest post group in the world now. I was a QC/DRS operator...which basically means I would sit thier all day frame by frame removing dirt and scratches...MIND NUMBING!!!

Im curious to know what movie this was that made such a big fuss. So did the Television/Computer/Monitor said "High security" and that got you fired for showing a movie to a friend? Was it a movie that was like, unreleased and stuff? Details boy, give us more details.

Im curious to know what movie this was that made such a big fuss. So did the Television/Computer/Monitor said "High security" and that got you fired for showing a movie to a friend? Was it a movie that was like, unreleased and stuff? Details boy, give us more details.

I produce surf films on the side (now fulltime). I was showing a friend some footage i shot the day before. we were told not to use computers for personal use but i guess it skipped my mind. They put up a stink and i was made an example. I dont care anymore im so happy to be doing something i enjoy - i hope it pays off.

Back in high school one of my teachers had a poster on the wall w/ that picture and it said something like "Someone else could be having a bad day so cheer them up" or something lame like that...I like your phrase much better.

That blows... Do they have the right to do that? (Here in PA you can get fired for wearing hte wrong clothes ("At Will" hiring / firing practice) - Same were you are.... can you sue?
