This question is for all you guys who own / have owned multiple dvd players...
What percentage of them play 704x576 broadcast D1 DVD's without problems.
Is it really necessary to convert video to 720x576 for max compatiblity??

I have not had any problems with them on 5 different DVD players. It is one of the standard DVD sizes.

Yeah, like said, you should have no problem whatsoever. That (resolution) is fully DVD compliant for PAL. As a matter of fact, I've never made a DVD that was 720 x 480. If my player didn't play it, I'd be taking it back...

Thanks for the very encouraging replys. Will stick to 704x576.
