dvd2svcd subtitle problem

i am trying to cinvert dvix file to dvd file with dvd2svcd program
when i try to add external subtitle i get the follow error messeg

"list index out of bounds (0)"

is any one know what its mean and how to fix it?

If its a srt file then get another one that is good then edit it by erasing all the text and then copying the text from the bad srt to the erased srt and saving it,did it myself with that problem and fixed it that way,maybe someone else has a quicker fix but if not try my way.
